This half-day food tour takes you to the outskirt of Yazd, to the village of Dorbid known for its ancient cypress tree and pomegranate gardens. You will be guided through the village by your local guide, stop for tea and sweets at the humble house of one of the oldest couples in the village and be invited to the home and private garden of a young family who’s thriving to keep the old traditions alive.
You will get the opportunity to pick fruits and vegetables from the garden, learn to make bread in a traditional clay oven and cook a whole feast of local specialties over the fire. You will be able to communicate with local families, learn about their history, culture, and traditions and obtain a perspective of village life in Iran.
